Job Description: Millwright
1. Actively work to create a safe work environment for self and any other person within the construction site. This is unquestionable your most important duty!
2. Layouts, fit, and weld fabricated components to assemble structural steel, machinery, frames, tanks, and building parts.
3. Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment.
4. Drive forklifts
5. Assemble and install equipment such as bucket elevators, conveyors, and storage tanks. Uses appropriate assembly methods as per plans by bolting and or welding.
6. Layout, positions, aligns and fits components together.
7. Rigs equipment for hoisting by crane or forklift.
8. Grinds or chips rough edges, surplus weld, or scale.
9. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
10. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
11. Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts.

General Requirements
1. The work of installing machinery and equipment at customer locations requires travel to and living out of town work while the project is constructed.
2. Each work site will vary as to the hazards, conditions, and location of the work and active attention must be given to identify hazards and alleviate safety concerns.
3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
5. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
6. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
