The Quality Inspection Lead is responsible for conducting and overseeing inspections of raw materials, manufactured components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with contract specifications, Company quality programs, and ISO standards. This role operates with limited supervision, resolves most issues independently, and serves as the final quality checkpoint for incoming materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods. The Quality Inspection Lead has the authority to quarantine or stop production or shipment of nonconforming materials and actively supports the Company’s Six Sigma initiatives. We're requiring 8 years of manufacturing inspection experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze inspection jobs and assign or direct work as needed
- Lead quality and inspection technicians to meet customer and regulatory specifications
- Train production and quality teams on quality control measures
- Assist with development and improvement of Quality Management System procedures
- Identify, quarantine, and document nonconforming materials during incoming, WIP, and final inspections
- Work with suppliers on replacements, refunds, and corrective actions
- Prepare and process inspection documentation and ID tags
- Conduct final inspections and audits of finished goods and ship-loose components
- Maintain inspection records related to inspection activities
- Oversee customer PPAP requests and tool calibration programs
- Assist with internal ISO 9001:2015 audits
- Operate Romer/CMM equipment
Requirements
- 8 years of quality assurance experience specifically within a manufacturing setting
- 1 years leadership experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job requirements, and material specifications
- Ability to use variety of precision measuring tools
- Working knowledge of radiator manufacturing processes and materials
- Proficiency with inspection tools, SPC methods, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (infrequently, assisted) and move up to 150 lbs (with assistance)
- Ability to work at heights up to 25 feet
Salary : $25
