The International Export Sales Coordinator works under the guidance of the Sr. Customer Service Manager in processing orders, preparing export documents, negotiating -Domestic & International on freight rates and processing samples ensuring compliance with US and foreign government laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Enter, route, and process sales orders.
- Prepare required export documents in compliance with federal, state and foreign regulations.
- Negotiate shipping rates with freight forwarders.
- Process sample requests.
- Administer ACT! Database.
- Complete new customer set-ups; trade references, bank info, D&B report.
- Answer inquiries from brokers regarding commission and sales.
- Assist the Manager in researching open Accounts Receivable and collections.
- Assist Director and Managers on special projects such as trade shows and distributor visits.
- Provide administrative support to Director and Managers.
- Research damaged freight and process claims.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of three (3) years customer service export experience or freight forwarding experience.
- Familiarity with process, documents, and certificates needed to export orders.
- High School diploma, or equivalent.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
