Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership
- Partner with site leadership to align HR strategies with business and operational objectives
- Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, and leadership development
- Support and influence leadership decision-making using data, insights, and HR best practices
- Champion and model company values, including Halocarbon’s 4 C’s: Caring, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Competitive Spirit
- Promote and reinforce a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns (Ex. payroll, benefits, policies, time-off)
- Address employee relations issues including attendance, performance and conduct. Ensuring consistent, thorough and accurate documentation
- Conduct investigations, recommend appropriate actions and support resolution of workplace issues
- Provide high-quality guidance to managers on employee relations and performance management matters
- Manage employee separations, including exit interviews and exit processes
- Build strong relationships with employees and managers to support engagement and retention strategies
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, recruiting strategies, and hiring needs
- Lead onboarding processes, including orientation, policy review and new hire integration
- Oversee and execute core HR functions including compensation, benefits, employee records, and policy administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, COBRA, E-Verify, I-9)
- Maintain HRIS (Paylocity) data integrity and streamline employee lifecycle processes
- Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and plant safety policies
- Support compensation processes including annual reviews and progressions
- Administer employee benefits programs and support open enrollment, employee education, and vendor coordination
- Support programs such as FMLA, COBRA, pension processes, tuition reimbursement, and employee recognition initiative
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including site engagement committees and feedback programs
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Support community outreach initiatives and strengthen employer brand
- Maintain consistent and effective employee communications across multiple channels
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to plant safety requirements
- Comply with all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Ability to work onsite in a chemical manufacturing environment, including exposure to permissible conditions
- Must be able to climb stairs, sit for extended periods and safely multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Must be able to evacuate the plant, reporting to appropriate assigned muster point, in the event of an emergency or drill
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment strongly preferred
- Professional HR certification preferred, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
