Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sandblaster role located in Arizona and New Mexico. The Sandblaster is responsible for preparing and cleaning surfaces using sandblasting equipment, following project specifications and safety procedures. Daily tasks include setting up and inspecting equipment, masking and protecting surfaces, operating blasting tools, and ensuring finished surfaces meet quality standards. The role involves working with various materials, handling abrasive media, maintaining a clean work area, and performing basic equipment maintenance. The Sandblaster will collaborate with supervisors and coworkers to meet project deadlines, follow safety and environmental guidelines, and document work completed.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate sandblasting equipment, air compressors, and related tools, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, materials handling, and proper masking and cleanup procedures.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices, including PPE use, hazard awareness, and adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate loads, stand for extended periods, and work in outdoor or industrial environments.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with reliability in attendance and willingness to adapt to changing job requirements.
- Prior sandblasting, industrial coating, construction, or related field experience is preferred but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the worksite are beneficial.
