Job Overview
We are seeking a professional Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to operate various types of trucks and transport freight safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with different trailer types, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. This role involves route driving, load and unload responsibilities, and ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. Duties
- Operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Assist with securing loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Follow all company policies related to safety and compliance during driving operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transportation.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission preferred.
- Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of route driving logistics and load & unload procedures.
- Prior experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for different trailer types.
- Demonstrated ability to handle freight securely and safely across various terrains and conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $0.60 - $0.65 per mile
