The Opportunity
We are currently in search of a Lab Technician to join our Industrial team in Greensboro, NC. This role reports to the QC Manager.
The position schedule includes 12-hour NIGHT shifts (8 pm - 8 am, three days on, three days off, two days on, two days off), including every other weekend.
Position Responsibilities Include
- Basic knowledge of wet chemistry techniques (academic or professional).
- Train under the supervision of a qualified Quality Control Analyst.
- Prepare, test, and report results for materials at various stages of the manufacturing process according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) including in-process samples, incoming raw materials, and finished products.
- Develop a thorough understanding of chemical testing equipment and processes.
- Apply knowledge and experience in math skills, analysis, and operation of lab equipment.
- Accurately document test results in logs and data systems.
- Practice good laboratory and safety techniques.
- Clean and maintain laboratory glassware.
- Keep the laboratory area clean and organized.
- Basic knowledge of hazardous materials and the appropriate handling and disposal of such products preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related degree and experience in analysis of organics (wet chemistry, chromatography and spectroscopy).
- Applied knowledge and experience in math skills, analysis, and operation of lab equipment.
- Exhibit time management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
