Our organization is committed to supporting new graduates through mentorship programs.Position SummaryThe Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians. This role operates under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) and adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy care as directed by physician referrals.Engage in community health initiatives and projects as needed.Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communications.Understand and comply with the laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to post-acute care facilities.Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.Demonstrate competence in all required areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.Adhere to organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing all mandatory compliance training.Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively.Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards patients.Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language proficiently.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT).Working ConditionsThis position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism in a dynamic healthcare environment.Benefits and OpportunitiesAccess to continuing education and professional development.Mentorship for new graduates to foster growth and learning.
