Responsibilities
- Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide detailed information about available properties, amenities, and leasing options.
- Manage lease or rental agreement processes accurately using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite.
- Conduct property tours, highlighting features and answering questions to foster interest and trust.
- Verify applicant information by performing background checks, including landlord-tenant law compliance and Section 8 eligibility.
- Prepare, review, and manage lease contracts ensuring adherence to Fair Housing regulations and legal standards.
- Maintain organized records through data entry, filing, and updating client files within property management systems.
- Collaborate with team members on leasing strategies, upselling opportunities, and client relationship management to maximize occupancy rates.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS for efficient leasing operations.
- Proven experience in real estate administrative tasks, including contract management, data entry, and filing.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client communication abilities.
- Familiarity with landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 housing programs.
- Ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while managing conflict resolution with tenants or applicants.
- Experience in property management or property leasing roles within a property management company environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and correspondence purposes.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in lease management, budgeting support, and facilities management tasks.
