Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Support lease or rental agreement management, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards and company policies
- Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to track occupancy, rent payments, and maintenance requests
- Communicate effectively with tenants regarding lease terms, rent payments, and community policies while providing exceptional customer service
- Assist in budgeting activities and financial reporting to ensure property profitability and operational efficiency
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to uphold safety standards and resident satisfaction
- Manage client communication through phone etiquette, email correspondence, and face-to-face interactions while resolving conflicts professionally
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, with familiarity using property management software like Yardi or OneSite
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs to ensure legal compliance
- Experience handling lease agreements, rental contracts, and tenant screening processes effectively
- Proficiency in applicant screening and resident renewal procedures
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict resolution and negotiate solutions that benefit both tenants and the property owner
- Background in customer service, sales, or leasing within a property management company environment is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, filing, reporting, and communication tasks
