Position Summary
Hallmark House is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to join our Memory Care team. This position plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys serving seniors, and is committed to treating every resident with dignity, respect, and kindness.
Essential Responsibilities
Deep clean resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas according to established schedules and infection control standards.
Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, sanitize, and disinfect resident rooms and community spaces.
Collect, wash, dry, fold and organize community linens, towels, and other laundry according to established procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry rooms, housekeeping closets, and supply areas.
Safely operate housekeeping and laundry equipment.
Remove trash and soiled linens following community procedures.
Restock housekeeping and laundry supplies as needed.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment promptly.
Follow all OSHA, infection prevention, and community safety policies and procedures.
Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Assist with special housekeeping or laundry projects as assigned.
Work collaboratively with all departments to provide an exceptional living environment for residents.
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping and laundry experience is required. Senior living experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful when working with older adults, especially those living with dementia.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing carts, and lifting throughout the shift.
Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Schedule
- Full-Time (Thursday through Sunday) 8am - 4:30pm
