What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Machine Operator (Onsite: Duncan, LA) position at Halliburton?
The Associate Machine Operator working under close supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines.
- Pay Rate: Up to $21.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment Length: 3-month with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
- Shift Details: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm| Monday - Thursday | Friday/Saturday Overtime
Responsibilities:
- May be required to read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work.
- This role will be focused more on a deburr and drill press machine including powered hand tools.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Skilled in the operation of both Mills and Lathes.
- Experienced in reading technical drawings with a strong command of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Expert in using high-precision tools to maintain tight tolerances.
- Focused on accuracy and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Machinery/tools used: Mills (Niigata, G&L Boring Mill, Trevisan, DMG Mori) Lathes (Okuma, DMG Mori, Mazak)
