A Day in the Life at Halls Heating and Air
Picture your day starting with a review of scheduled visits, loading up the tools you own, and heading to a mix of residential and commercial sites. You’ll install and commission furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork. Between installs, you’ll service and repair HVAC/R equipment, including commercial refrigeration systems, and handle routine maintenance visits to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency.
Throughout the day, you’ll diagnose issues, explain your findings to customers in clear terms, and capture accurate service notes and documentation. You’ll verify your work aligns with local, state, and federal requirements, and when needed, you’ll jump on urgent calls to restore comfort and uptime. You’ll collaborate with teammates when projects demand it, and work independently when you’re in the field on your own.

What You’ll Do
- Install HVAC systems: furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and ductwork
- Diagnose and repair system problems efficiently
- Complete scheduled maintenance and detailed inspections
- Adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, and safety practices
- Deliver excellent customer service and clearly explain issues and solutions
- Maintain precise service records and documentation
- Respond to emergency service requests as needed
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or in a comparable role
- Ownership of a reliable set of tools
- EPA Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments
- Hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems
- Familiarity with electrical systems and controls
