Hall Madden is hiring a showroom director and made-to-measure specialist for our San Francisco showroom.
Founded in 2010, Hall Madden specializes in custom men’s clothing and has nine nationwide locations. We are a top-rated provider of menswear in the San Francisco area and believe our clients deserve the best service and to wear the finest quality garments made just for them. We’re a small business with a tight-knit team and an entrepreneurial spirit.
We are busy year-round as one of the most sought after custom menswear destinations in the area and want to hire someone who wants to focus primarily on the sales side of our business — but also isn’t afraid to do the administrative tasks of day-to-day operations.
Who we tend to hire: If you've worked in the made-to-measure business at places like Indochino, SuitSupply, etc., and have demonstrated experience in conducting fittings, you'll thrive at our company. Background knowledge on garment fit, fabric mills and their swatch collections, and sales acumen goes a long way to put you at the top of your list.
Who we don't hire: Candidates lacking menswear experience -- specifically in tailored clothing -- and low skill and knowledge in garment fit and made-to-measure experience. This job is not entry level.
Responsibilities:
- Fitting clients for custom clothing
- Providing knowledgable sales assistance to clients
- Using soft sales skills to close transactions
- Inputting client orders accurately and on time
- Auditing inventory and notifying clients of their garment status
- Day-to-day showroom maintenance and organization
- Coordinating and communicating needed alterations to garments
- Responding to phone, text and email inquiries
Requirements:
- Job is on-site in San Francisco
- Must be able to lift and move boxes weighing around 20-50lbs.
- Proficient at data entry and note taking.
- Professional retail attire & grooming.
Experience:
- Familiarity with made-to-measure fitting systems for suits, dress shirts, etc.
- Retail sales, preferably in menswear or clothing industry
- Knowledge about fabrics and design details
- Managing other employees and store operations.

Pay: Generous base salary, plus commission from first sale. Position is exempt employee status. Healthcare, 401k match and vacation PTO. Holidays off and clothing allowance.
