What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Hall Farms?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a general laborer. This position involves preparing job sites, assisting skilled tradespeople, operating basic tools and equipment, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and committed to following safety procedures while contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate should be willing and able to complete manual labor, including, but not limited to, running chainsaw, shoveling, raking, seeding, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing, grading, and cleanup.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and perform manual labor as directed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist equipment operators, carpenters, concrete crews, and other skilled trades as needed.
- Install and remove temporary structures, barricades, and traffic control devices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work site.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50–75 pounds.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or foreman.
*Expected to drive to job sites, drive to HF office to catch ride, or meet along the way to job site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
