Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Attorney, based in Grand Island, NE. The individual in this role will provide a voice for the voiceless. This position is designed for those who want to be where the action is-in the courtroom. You will be appointed to represent indigent individuals, navigating the complexities of the justice system. Your advocacy will span the entire life of a case, including:
- Courtroom Exposure: Step into the courtroom almost immediately to gain more litigation experience than almost any other area of law.
- Trial Experience: Act as the primary advocate, developing and managing every phase of a criminal case from arraignment to dismissal or trial. Not just researching.
- Appellate Work: Navigate the appellate process for select cases, ensuring that constitutional rights and justice are upheld at every level.
- Mental Health Advocacy: Provide essential representation for individuals involved in mental health board proceedings.
- Case Autonomy: Exercise the independence to craft your own legal strategies and navigate your caseload without the burden of a micromanaging supervisor.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
