SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential Functions” are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.
Perform filing.
Answer phones/receptionist duties.
Index and organizing documents.
Proofread documents and materials.
Assist with preparing and follow up regarding Request for Production of Documents.
Create, revise and update charts, logs and indices.
Organize and index correspondence, memorandums, attorney notes, pleadings and other legal documents.
Assist with bates labels, duplicate and redact documents.
Assist with document productions and discovery.
Routine clerical tasks.
Assist with copying projects.
Perform special projects as assigned.
Assistance to other departments within the firm such as Marketing, Accounting and Human Resources.
Observe and assist with hearings, mediations, trials as appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to effectively handle telephone calls with established Firm etiquette and professionalism.
Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing workload.
Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in confidential matters.
Ability to establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm.
Work requires sitting, bending, stooping, computer keyboarding and continuous use of the hands, telephone contact, reading, and lifting of 25-50 lbs. or more.
