Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description Hall, a part of MileOne Autogroup, is now hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our locations in the Virginia Beach area. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is an advanced technical trades position. Great opportunities for career advancement Positive, success driven work environment Responsibilities Will Include: Leads peer Technicians in the repair of electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems Leads peer Technicians in the repair of fixed building structure Abide by all established safety policies, procedures and expectations Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and work loads Excellent working knowledge of computer data entry, e-mail communication and internet research Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices Being self-motivated with a high bar on quality Physical Demands: Repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, walking and driving Lifting parts and tools weighing up to 40 pounds Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot and motions Repetitive flexion and rotation Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces Qualifications: Flexibility with work schedules in a 24-7 operational environment Advanced experience in preventative maintenance routines, documentation and procedures Advanced experience in the repair of floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, asphalt and concrete surfaces Advanced experience in industrial electro-mechanical systems, plumbing lighting and ventilation Advanced electrical knowledge to include identification and function of: AC/DC circuitry, electrical components and the use of multi-meters to measure Volts, AMPs, OHMs and capacitance Ability to interpret and create schematics, architectural drawings, Competent in MS Office platforms and other computerized maintenance management programs High school diploma or equivalent Record of advanced training in industrial maintenance or building trades Driving Record with less than 2 moving violations with the ability to operate trailers with heavy external loads Our MileOne Employee Advantage: MileOne believes that taking care of our employees is the most important step in creating a positive workplace and a successful company.
