Role Description The School Nurse is a full-time, on-site role located in Rocky Mount, NC, providing direct health services and support to students during the school day. Responsibilities include assessing student health concerns, administering medications, providing first aid and emergency care, and managing chronic health conditions in accordance with individualized health plans. The School Nurse collaborates with educators, families, and healthcare providers to promote health education, preventive care, and safe school practices. Additional duties include maintaining accurate health records, monitoring immunization compliance, supporting screenings, and contributing to policies and procedures that foster a healthy school environment.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong School Nursing and School Health skills, with experience delivering health services in an educational setting.
- Candidates should possess Nursing and Pediatrics skills to assess, treat, and manage health needs across childhood and adolescence.
- Candidates should possess Medicine-related knowledge applicable to primary care, emergency response, and management of common school health conditions.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure.
- Preferred experience working in K–12 schools or community health settings.
- Training in CPR, First Aid, and emergency response; school nurse certification is an advantage.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and healthcare providers.
