Custodians are responsible for cleaning services and general upkeep in HCC facilities. Seasonally, responsibilities may include clearing building entrances and power washing exterior surfaces.
Custodians report to the Custodial Supervisor and work Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Custodian will:
- Perform janitorial services around the college campus as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor.
- Respond to needs such as work orders and inspection reports.
- Follow campus rules and regulations, along with supervisor guidance on regulatory code books and policy manuals.
- Operate equipment like vehicles, trailers, sprayers, and vacuums.
- Interact with various groups and individuals, including staff, faculty, contractors, and the public.
- Perform administrative tasks, including attending meetings and providing data for reports.
A minimum of one year of experience in janitorial, customer services, or a related industry is required.
