This position is for an individual with 5 to 15 years of experience in Bridge Engineering and, preferably, experience in the design of box culverts, sign and signal structures and sheet pile walls. What you will do:
- Will be responsible for the management of the complete design of structures projects
- Will work in a fast-paced environment with longstanding, trusted clients, that require on-site investigations, bridge load ratings and coordination
- Will manage production of design calculations and construction drawings
- Will review contractor submittals and coordinate with inspection subconsultants during construction
- Will participate in business development activities
- Will be responsible for project budgets and schedules
- As project manager, will coordinate effort with clients as well as in-house engineers and subconsultants
- Will assist in training and supervising less experienced engineers and designers
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Master’s Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering with a Structural emphasis or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas, or able and willing to obtain a Texas PE License within 6 months of start date
- A minimum of 5 to 15 years of experience in Bridge / Structural Design
- Experience managing structural design and plan production
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients
- MicroStation, Revit or AutoCAD training is a plus
