Summary
Haley Buick GMC Midlothian is seeking a reliable and hardworking Automotive Parts Stockroom Worker / Delivery Driver to join our team. This dual-role position involves assisting with the efficient operation of the stockroom—handling automotive parts inventory, receiving and shipping, as well as delivering parts to local customers in a safe and timely manner. Maintaining an accurate and well-organized inventory is critical to ensuring smooth stockroom operations, supporting our commitment to reliable service and accountability.
Stockroom Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment
- Perform daily inventory checks and report discrepancies
- Operate stockroom equipment such as pallet jacks & forklifts (if certified)
- Assist with returns & warranty processing
- Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive
- Returns parts as needed, ensures that credits are received for returned parts
- Assists in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory
- Keeps parts area clean & uncluttered
- Maintains professional appearance
- Other tasks assigned
Driver Duties:
- Load & unload automotive parts into delivery vehicle with care
- Deliver parts to local customers & service shops
- Perform scheduled & on-demand parts pickups/deliveries from local vendors, dealerships, or suppliers to fulfill urgent needs for the Service Department, ensuring minimal downtime for repair operations
- Ensure timely & accurate deliveries with excellent customer service
- Maintain delivery logs & obtain customer signatures as required
- Report any maintenance issues on company vehicles
Requirements:
- Valid VA driver's license with a clean driving record
- Forklift certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Basic computer & inventory system knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Previous stockroom/warehouse or delivery experience preferred
Salary : $14 - $15
