This Housing Compliance Coordinator position is full-time salaried exempt. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Benefits include medical, drug, vision, dental, vacation, retirement plan, and more.
The Housing Compliance Coordinator works closely with the Housing Managers to ensure compliance in all facets of housing administration including but not limited to housing regulations (Tax Credit, HUD, HOME, and USDA RD), housing policies and procedures, accurate completion of tenant files, resident eligibility, rental lease terms, and vacates. This position will also provide housing staff training on compliance and the use of housing software (RealPage) as well as assist to resolve software issues. In addition, the Housing Compliance Coordinator will schedule and perform site visits to conduct compliance checks and participate in audit/inspection preparations and reviews. This position also serves as the WASS & EIV coordinator and serves as the lead for the lease-up process for newly developed housing projects.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or at least 4 years of supervisory experience or at least four years in in a highly independent role within an organization. Tax credit, HUD, HOME and USDA RD certified accreditation preferred. At least 5 years of experience working in property management or related experience. Hawaii real estate license is required for successful completion of the Orientation Period and for continued employment. Must have a valid driver’s license and own mode of transportation for work related commutes.
