Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter / Project Coordinator to support commercial glass projects from estimating through project closeout. This role combines drafting, takeoffs, and coordination responsibilities, requiring a strong understanding of glazing systems, construction documentation, and project workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, modify, and maintain AutoCAD shop drawings for glazing systems (curtainwall, storefront, glass partitions) based on architectural plans
  • Interpret design documents and produce accurate fabrication drawings in compliance with project specifications and industry standards
  • Revise drawings to reflect RFIs, field conditions, and design changes
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, field teams, and clients to ensure alignment on details, progress, and deadlines
  • Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, transmittals, mock-ups, samples, and related documentation
  • Review drawing updates and RFIs for scope impacts; support value engineering and design efficiency efforts
  • Track and process change orders while maintaining organized, accurate project records and approvals in line with schedules

What We’re Looking For

  • 2 years of experience in project coordination and/or AutoCAD drafting within commercial construction (glass, glazing, curtainwall, storefront preferred)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and glazing shop drawings
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Experience with Logikal and Sage 100 (or Sage 100 Contractor) preferred; familiarity with Bluebeam and Procore a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and work independently
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Physical Requirements

This position may require, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use computers and office equipment
  • Occasional lifting of materials or samples up to approximately 25 lbs

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based
  • Fast-paced project environment with multiple deadlines
  • Collaborative team setting with internal and external stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
  • Pay is determined based on experience, skills, training progress, and internal equity
  • Overtime paid in accordance with California law
