Where: San Jose, CA
Pay Range: $125,000 – $190,000 (annual potential)
Our mandate: Turn a $4M CNC aerospace prototyping operation into a disciplined engine that reliably delivers $500K months—without trading off quality, delivery, or cash.
Your mission- Scale throughput: Build and maintain capacity models, remove chokepoints in QC/scheduling/programming/workflow, and keep OTD strong as volume grows.
- Elevate quality systems: Expand inspection throughput, keep AS9100 tight, and compress inspection cycle times.
- Harden the schedule: Optimize job scheduling, align Production/Quality/Front Office, and make job costing/margins transparent.
- Expand smartly: Stand up subcontracting partners, institute vendor qualification and scorecards, and align outsourcing with profitability.
- Manage by the numbers: Track OTD, scrap, throughput, and margin; forecast with the CEO; allocate resources surgically; decide with data, not emotion.
- Lead with steadiness: Operate as the CEO’s operational partner and reliable number two; raise the bar without shaking culture.
- You prefer corporate distance over hands-on leadership.
- You’re uncomfortable building structure for a small-to-mid-size manufacturing scale-up.
- Scaled operations in a $5M–$15M CNC machining, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environment.
- Eliminated bottlenecks and stabilized flow.
- Managed throughput, WIP, and capacity with rigor.
- Improved performance in regulated settings (AS9100 preferred).
- Built proficiency across ERP, scheduling, and operational analytics.
- Read and influence a P protected and expanded margins.
- Presented confidently to customers and stakeholders.
- Earned credibility on the floor and in the boardroom; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

- CNC Mills: 3–5 axis VMC; 3–4 axis VMC (Fanuc); 5 axis VMC (Fanuc)
- CNC Lathes: 2–7 axis; 2–4 axis (Doosan); 5 axis (Doosan)
- Horizontal Machining Centers: 3–4 axis (Doosan); 5 axis
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
