Halcyon Days Consulting (HDC) is seeking a highly capable and experienced CONUS Mission Lead to drive cloud infrastructure and communications initiatives in support of U.S. based operations. This role requires deep cloud engineering expertise (with a focus on Microsoft Azure), and experience delivering secure, scalable solutions for federal or military customers. You will lead a technical team while managing strategic priorities for mission success. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: -Lead and manage a team of 3-5 cloud and communications engineers, ensuring operational readiness and execution of mission objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: -Lead and manage a team of 3-5 cloud and communications engineers, ensuring operational readiness and execution of mission objectives.
- Serve as the technical lead for cloud infrastructure solutions, with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure and related DevOps tooling.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Python-based automation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission goals and cybersecurity standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical instruction to engineering team members, focusing on best practices in cloud architecture and secure communications.
- Support integration and delivery of cloud solutions within military or federal government contexts.
- Maintain operational awareness of customer requirements, priorities, and mission shifts. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: -At least 10 years of experience in IT or related field -3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools
- Minimum Active Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- Prior experience as a technical instructor or trainer, particularly in cloud or DevOps topics.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and secure cloud design. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Military background, especially in communications or IT operations.
- Experience working with SOCOM or other Department of Defense (DoD) clients.
- Background in federal government environments utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. BENEFITS:
