Responsibilities
- Submit electronic claims for behavioral health services
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility before appointments
- Obtain and track prior authorizations
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims
- Prepare and submit claim appeals
- Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation for billing
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and commercial insurance plans
- Experience using EHR such as TherapyNotes, Tebra, or a similar system
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
