Got a knack for turning a menu into a memory? Savora Catering is looking for a Catering Chef who lives for the moment a guest takes their first bite at an event and can't stop talking about it.
This isn't a back-of-house-only role. Every week brings a new blank canvas — weddings, corporate galas, private parties, large-scale social events — and you'll be the one turning each one into a custom menu nobody else could have designed. You'll dream it up, build the plan to pull it off, and then walk it onto the site yourself to lead the room through it. If you love the creativity of crafting a menu almost as much as you love the adrenaline of pulling off flawless execution on event day, we want to talk to you.
Compensation: $28.00–$38.00/hour, based on experience
What You'll Do
- Execute standout menus for every event — then customize them on the fly for allergies, dietary needs, and guest preferences without missing a beat.
- Team up with the Director of Savora Catering and our culinary department to turn each event from a first idea into a fully planned production.
- Run the business side like a pro: ordering, staffing, scheduling, and costing — so your creative vision actually makes it to the table on budget and on time.
- Take the lead on-site at events, directing your team through setup, service, and breakdown as the calm, confident force that makes it all look effortless.
- Push new ideas, seasonal twists, and creative flourishes — then execute them with the precision and consistency our clients count on every time.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for food and for creating experiences guests talk about long after the event ends.
- Someone creative who also thrives inside a system — you can follow a recipe and a process as well as you can build one.
- Prior culinary leadership experience; catering or high-volume banquet background is a big plus.
- Comfort managing costs, schedules, and people — not just the food.
- A current food safety certification (or the willingness to get one right away).
- Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel to event venues around Delaware and Pennsylvania.
