Educational Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities.
• Support students with special educational needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and encouragement.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive classroom behavior and social-emotional development.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring or mentoring to students who need extra help in reading, writing, or math.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress and communicate effectively about individual needs and achievements.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as classrooms, childcare centers, or private schools is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in special education, including working with individuals with disabilities or autism, is a strong asset.
• Classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners are essential.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and families are required.

Pay: $22.08 - $26.58 per hour
