Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable communicating with clients and medical providers, and understands the workflow of personal injury cases prior to filing suit.
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury case load from intake through settlement or litigation transfer
- Draft and send LORs, PIP applications, HIPAA releases, FOIA requests, and preservation letters
- Order and track medical records, bills, insurance files, police reports, and claim documents
- Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, medical offices, and defense representatives
- Maintain organized case files and deadlines within firm case management system
- Prepare demand packages, damages summaries, and settlement documents with assistance of various AI tools and technology.
- Assist attorneys in evaluating liability, coverage, and damages
- Update clients throughout treatment and case status
- Schedule IMEs, EUOs, and medical appointments as needed
Qualifications
- 1 years of PI pre-litigation or paralegal experience preferred
- Knowledge of Michigan No-Fault, BI claims and PIP is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and move cases forward proactively
