Job Summary
As a key member of the Hajoca Information Technology organization, the Information
Security Engineer reports to Hajoca's Information Security Manager and performs
implementation, management, and support of security projects that will ensure
Hajoca's information assets are secure. This position will partner closely with
other technology leads across the organization to assist in building a secure technology
footprint.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in development of Hajoca security architecture and maturity standardsAssist in development and maintenance of documentation, policies, and procedures for security tools, system environments, and cloud operationsCollaborate with other functional-area architects, engineers, and other specialists across Information Technology to ensure adequate solutions and controls are in place throughout technology resources to mitigate risks while meeting business objectives and regulatory requirementsMaintain Hajoca's cloud email security & DLP platforms to minimize email-based threatsWork with SaaS and Public Cloud platforms to maximize security and availability of resourcesAssist in researching, procuring, designing, and implementing new security solutions across the enterpriseAssist in building and maintenance of company awareness and educational programsServe as a security SME on other teams' projects and provide guidance to adhere to existing security policies/ best practicesIdentify and recommend potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where a supplement is required to mitigate key security risksAssist in information gathering during acquisitions. Plan and execute risk assessment activities for existing technology footprintParticipate in planning and performance of regular Security Assessment/ Incident Response testing Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to translate and communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.Must be customer service oriented; strong desire to meet the needs of external and internal customers.Must have strong functional knowledge; take ownership of skills, knowledge, and relationships needed to perform the job.Must have leadership skills, e.g. innovative, decision maker, influence and support others.Must be professional; organized and able to manage work, time and problems.Results oriented; focused on attaining goals and objectives.Keen ability to interpret technical problems and systematically troubleshoot and resolveAbility to develop talent, both in terms of general business competency and technical prowessProject management from inception through delivery
Education, Training, ExperienceTwo or more years of experience working in Information Security or Information TechnologyBachelors degree or equivalent work experience Industry certifications (information security, cloud technologies, etc.) preferredIntermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Azure and Office365 products preferredIntermediate to advanced experience with Proofpoint or other email security platforms preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Server technologiesExcellent demonstrated interpersonal and written communications. A proven track record of achieving results.
