Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and their pets, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. Your responsibilities will include running the front end, operating the cash register, assisting with product demonstrations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. A strong focus on customer service and effective communication skills is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Running the front end
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure product availability.
- Conduct product demos to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays.
- Receiving products and tagging.
- Filling shelves and stocking food bags and other inventory.
- Assisting with dog bath area and washing towels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math skills.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone when necessary.

Thursday 10am – 7pm
Friday 10am – 7pm
Saturday 10am – 7pm
Sunday 11am – 5pm
All employees are required to work weekend shifts.
We may have part time available but you must still work 8 hour shifts.
