PARTS DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATE

Location: Merrillville, Indiana

Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000 per year

As a Parts Associate for Haire Technical Group, you will be a member of the parts operations. This role is critical to ensure that our customers, who depend on Haire’s high-performance corrugated machinery, receive the parts they need in a timely fashion to keep their production lines running smoothly. You will be a backup for all incoming calls and emails related to the full line of Haire-supported machinery, including APSTAR and Encore flexo folder gluers, rotary die cutters, stackers, palletizers, and other equipment.

In this fast-paced and dynamic position, you’ll be responsible for creating, filling and shipping customer parts orders. To ensure that parts are available for customer orders, you will be responsible for monitoring the status of vendor purchase orders and customer sales orders for any potential issues. When parts are received from vendors, you will be responsible for receiving and putting away the inventory. Inventory control is key to providing parts to customers and you will be responsible for routine cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Control Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction:
• Receive and manage incoming parts requests via phone and email.
• Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries.
• Generate quote requests for customers in a timely manner. 
• Be willing to talk to customers and walk through situations on the phone with them.

Communication:

• Provide clear and consistent communication with technicians, customers, and internal teams regarding issues related to parts. 

Problem Solving:

• Be able to assist customers in determining their part needs.
• Work with vendors to address availability issues.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
