Duties
- Assist surgeons during hair transplant procedures by preparing surgical sites and handling specialized instruments
- Sterilize and organize surgical tools, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
- Collect and document patient data, including medical history, vital signs, and treatment details using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support patient care by providing pre-operative instructions and post-operative care guidance
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital infection prevention standards
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Assist with the setup of surgical areas, including equipment operation and troubleshooting as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience assisting in surgical settings, preferably in hair restoration or cosmetic surgery environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and trauma care principles relevant to surgical assistance
- Familiarity with medical equipment sterilization, surgical instruments, and endoscopy procedures
- Strong analysis skills for assessing patient needs and procedural requirements
- Experience with hospital or ambulatory surgery center environments is highly desirable
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
