Haigh-Farr is seeking a Quality Engineer. Candidates will have a demonstrated background in roles where a high attention to detail are required. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining procedures and customer mandated deliverables to ensure strict compliance to both internal and external quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the engineers with PMP requirements and interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure that the designs for fabrication are in accordance with approved data and customer quality flow downs.
- Compiling and writing training material and conducting training sessions with new hires and others on quality activities, as needed.
- Proactive review and improvement of systems and processes to ensure the maintenance of standards.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ensure vendor compliance to HF Quality Flow downs.
- Provides analysis and guidance to ensure quality standards are in effect.
- Drives processes to develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
- Perform part inspections to verify conformance with requirements using a variety of inspection equipment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Good working knowledge of the AS-9100 Quality Standard.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure that products meet required specifications.
- Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerances per ASME Y14.5.
- Experience with CMM a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
- Independent, self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
- Possess excellent communication skills and positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
