POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Representative at Hahn Roofing is a high-performance, commission-driven closer responsible for growing revenue across the Verde Valley, Sedona, and Phoenix/Scottsdale markets. You will be fed paid marketing leads. This role requires a self-starter who can build and manage their own pipeline, run inspections, develop referral relationships, and guide homeowners and commercial property owners through estimates and project commitments. You will work directly alongside our existing sales team, train out of our Cottonwood office, and compete in some of Arizona's most premium and high-value roofing markets. The right person will earn significantly more in commission than they ever would at a guaranteed base. There is NO CAP on the comission earned. We want hunters!

Hahn Roofing is a premium roofing contractor serving the Sedona and Verde Valley region and expanding into Phoenix/Scottsdale. We specialize in high-end residential, custom homes, commercial roofing, and specialty systems including copper, tile, and metal. We are built on reputation, repeat clients, and referral relationships earned over a decade of excellent work.

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE

A successful Sales Representative at Hahn Roofing:

  • Closes Revenue: Hits or exceeds monthly sales targets through consistent prospecting, qualifying, and closing — your income is a direct reflection of your output.
  • Self-Sources Leads: Builds their own pipeline through networking, canvassing, referral activation, and leveraging Hahn Roofing's existing client base across Verde Valley and Scottsdale.
  • Owns the Inspection: Conducts thorough roof assessments, documents conditions accurately, and presents findings and recommendations with authority and confidence.
  • Drives the Close: Guides prospects through estimates, material selections, scope decisions, and contract signing without requiring hand-holding from ownership.
  • Protects Margin: Understands the value of the projects we take on — does not discount without purpose, and positions Hahn Roofing's premium quality appropriately.
  • Feeds the Machine: Keeps AccuLynx updated with accurate pipeline data so production and leadership can plan and prioritize work effectively.
  • Earns Referrals: Delivers an experience that makes our clients want to send their neighbors, colleagues, and property managers to us.

TERRITORY

This role covers two active and growing markets:

  • Primary: Verde Valley / Sedona / Cottonwood — high-end residential, custom homes, repeat commercial clients. Daily morning check-ins at Cottonwood office.
  • Secondary: Phoenix / Scottsdale — growing market with existing client relationships and commercial accounts. Expected regular travel.

Candidates based in Phoenix or willing to travel between Phoenix and Verde Valley are strongly preferred. Expect split time between both markets.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

  • Ramp Period (First 60 Days): Draw of $40,000 annualized salary OR earned commissions, whichever is higher each week.
  • After Ramp: Pure commission. No base. This is a 1099 role designed for closers.
  • Commission Rate: 10% of gross contract value.
  • Payout Trigger: Commission is paid upon job completion and client payment collection.
  • Ramp Expectation: You are expected to be running appointments and reaching out to prospects by the end of week four. If you're not doing it by then, this role isn't the right fit.

OBJECTIVES

  • Generate a consistent flow of qualified opportunities monthly through outbound prospecting, referral activation, canvassing, and networking events.
  • Close new contracts by converting qualified leads — target projects range from $10K residential repairs to $500K custom or commercial jobs.
  • Maintain an active, accurate pipeline in AccuLynx at all times — zero data integrity issues.
  • Deliver morning team check-ins at the Cottonwood office and participate in weekly sales reviews with Ryan and ownership.
  • Pursue and develop relationships with architects, property managers, general contractors, and high-value homeowners in the target markets.
  • Identify and pursue commercial and institutional accounts (private schools, HOAs, commercial properties) in Phoenix and Scottsdale as the market develops.
  • Support or initiate insurance claim processes where applicable — this is not the core business but the ability to navigate an adjuster conversation is an asset.
  • Protect Hahn Roofing's brand reputation in the community through professional conduct and client-first service.

COMPETENCIES

  • Roofing or adjacent trades knowledge required — you must be able to speak credibly about materials, systems, and installation. Pure sales backgrounds without trades context will not succeed here.
  • Commission-hungry closer with a proven track record of hitting targets in a competitive environment.
  • Comfortable with high-value transactions — Hahn Roofing's average job is not a $5K repair. You need to be comfortable presenting and defending $100K estimates.
  • Self-managed and self-motivated — no micromanagement. You are responsible for your own schedule, pipeline, and results.
  • Professional and trustworthy in front of premium clientele — Sedona and Scottsdale clients have options. How you show up matters.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (AccuLynx experience a plus), estimating software, and basic field documentation.
  • Able to work effectively with the production and operations team — seamless handoff from sale to job start is non-negotiable.
  • Comfortable traveling between Verde Valley and Phoenix/Scottsdale regularly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience — face-to-face, in-home, or field sales strongly preferred.
  • Roofing, gutters, windows, solar, or construction sales experience is a strong advantage. Transferable trade knowledge accepted in lieu of direct roofing experience.
  • Demonstrated history of closing deals, managing a pipeline, and meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
