The Account Coordinator will work across account teams providing communications and outreach support to a variety of clients in the nonprofit, foundation, and government sectors, with a focus on health, education, and community. The Account Coordinator will provide support across tasks, ranging from creating written materials and graphics, partnership development, content development, message development, materials development, social media, reporting and analytics, and administrative tasks. They operate under the regular supervision of senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player, with an avid interest in integrated marketing and communications and a passion for working with mission-driven organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in client projects such as planning communications, supporting the brand and creative development process, designing and producing print materials and creative products, drafting copy, planning and coordinating special events, and building constituencies
- Draft correspondence, media materials, pitch letters, proposal sections, internal reports, and other types of materials for print and digital publication
- Research and compile information, and develop and manage lists related to client projects
- Assist with research activities, such as environmental scans and social media monitoring
- Assist with media outreach and new media as assigned, provide journalists and stakeholders with information and materials
- Monitor analytics for communications contracts and campaigns
- Work with teammates to maintain appropriate files and project trackers pertaining to client work
- Stay current on client issues and subject matter; monitor news coverage and social media traffic as assigned
- Provide client service support and manage arrangements relating to client meetings, conferences, and similar events
- Assist with team and client travel arrangements/logistics
- Support Hager Sharp marketing opportunities and new business development
- Accurately track and record all billable and non-billable time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Non-essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent Hager Sharp at industry conferences
- Provide reception coverage as needed
- Occasionally transport boxes of print materials to client events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field
- Previous experience in communications and/or interest in the public health sector strongly preferred; experience in a communications agency setting a plus
- Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience balancing multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially creating and formatting documents in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Hager Sharp is an employee-owned firm (ESOP) known for its collegial, collaborative, and creative work environment. The salary range for this position is $50,000-55,000 per year.
