Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Santa Barbara, CA, with the flexibility for remote work. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, drafting legal documents, legal research, depositions, appearing in court for hearings and trial, and attending mediations. The role also involves collaboration with senior attorneys and litigation team, maintaining client communication, and providing legal advice on litigation, insurance law, and other specialized practice areas.
Qualifications
· Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting legal documents
· Experience in litigation processes, including trial preparation, arbitration, and mediation
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address complex legal issues
· Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
· Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and court presentations
· Knowledge of California state and federal court procedures and civil procedure
· Licensed to practice law in the state of California; additional bar memberships are an advantage
· Insurance law knowledge preferred but not required
