Duties
- Control access to the facility using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards, ensuring physical security standards are upheld.
- Monitor surveillance cameras continuously to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy for future reference.
- Perform background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Utilize law enforcement knowledge and conflict de-escalation techniques to manage disputes or disruptive behavior effectively while maintaining professionalism.
Experience
- Proven experience in security operations or related fields such as military or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate surveillance equipment, access control systems, and emergency response tools such as AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices and Tasers.
- Familiarity with performing manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe movement of equipment or materials.
- Strong skills in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity for legal or investigative purposes.
- Knowledge of fire safety protocols, first aid procedures, CPR certification, and AED operation is essential.
- Experience in conflict management and conflict de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security assessments in compliance with regulatory standards.
