POSITION TITLE: Shipping Supervisor
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Scheduling & Inventory Manager
PAY STRUCTURE: Hourly
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: The purchasing/order release of production materials, Manage the shipping, and receiving functions.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Efficient with CMS and EDI, and Microsoft Excel
- Familiar with creating Sales Orders
- Good leadership skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Should be familiar with NAFTA, Proforma and Customs paperwork, Broker, and Forwarding and Duty Fees
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the Shipping Department
- The purchasing/ releasing of materials that meet customer requirements.
- Shipping of all customer products in accordance with customer requirements.
- Maintaining the label and factory order systems.
- Providing the J.I.T. Shipping requirements to the production floor.
- Maintain shipping records as required.
- Costing, billing and reporting of all packaging shipments
- Maintain open communication with customers and account managers regarding delivery of products
- Maintain and update open customer orders.
- Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality and Environmental management systems
- Adhere to all Corvac policies and procedures concerning safety and personal conduct
- Oversee the supply chain by monitoring its performance to support the manufacturing system at Corvac
- Seek new avenues to reduce the cost of the supply and logistics chain
- Review incoming material stream to ensure adequate flow of inventory
- Monitor and improve the material and inventory flow throughout the facility
- Perform end of month and year physical inventory and reconciliation
- Participate in ensuring accuracy of daily physical inventory of all FG and Raw materials
- Supervise all Shipping and Receiving functions
- Act as primary contact for all customer delivery and shipment issues
- Support abnormal/trial parts requests
- Create 13-week customer forecast to support sales forecast and parts ordering system
- Ensure all daily EDI transmissions are performed error-free
- Seek 100% fill rate & delivery rate to all customers everyday
- Implement and support all Corvac training initiatives
- Interface with Corporate IT & materials departments to improve systems and reports
- Perform any other duties as assigned
