Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule nursing staff for various shifts, including day, evening, and night shifts
Analyze staffing needs and develop effective scheduling solutions to meet the needs of our residents and patients
Collaborate with unit managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate staffing levels and efficient allocation of resources
Manage and maintain accurate records of staff schedules, time-off requests, and vacations
Develop and implement scheduling tools and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
Communicate effectively with staff members, residents, and families regarding scheduling changes and updates
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and issues in a timely and professional manner
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve the scheduling process and patient care
Staffing Coordinator Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in staffing or scheduling
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic scheduling software
Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, Monday-Friday,
Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull cart loads of up to 50 pounds
