Duties
- Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an NDT Trainee specializing in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). No prior NDT experience is required. We will provide full, on-the-job training and classroom instruction to help you gain certification in accordance with SNT-TC-1A standards. Key Responsibilities: Setup & Calibration - learn to setup and calibrate magnetic particle equipment (yokes, coils, benches) Testing Application - Perform wet fluorescent magnetic particle inspections on ferromagnetic materials to detect surface and near-surface cracks. Inspection & Evaluation - Examine parts for discontinuities, evaluate findings against specific codes (ASME, ASTM), and determine if parts pass or fail. Documentation - Maintain accurate, legible records of inspection results and daily logs. Material Handling - move pallets with a forklift (in-house training provided). Maintenance - keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Skills/Qualifications: Must adhere to all safety regulations including wearing proper PPE at all time when on the shop floor and proper handling of chemicals. High School or GED required. Strong Attention to Detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Basic Computer skills for reporting (Microsoft - including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and climb/crawl if necessary. Must pass a vision test (near vision and color contrast). Must be able to interpret, analyze, and distinguish color-coded, data-intensive, visual information. Valid driver's license. Benefits.
