Our growing CPA firm in Northeast Iowa is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer with at least 5 years of experience preparing tax returns to join our team.
This position offers tax work with a diverse client base, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trusts, and agricultural operations. The ideal candidate enjoys building client relationships, solving tax-related challenges, and delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns.
- Gather and analyze financial information and supporting documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax preparation matters.
- Assist with tax projections and year-end planning.
- Maintain accurate work and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with partners and staff to meet filing deadlines and client needs.
Qualifications
- 5 years of tax preparation experience.
- Strong knowledge of individual, business, and agricultural taxation.
- Experience preparing partnership and entity tax returns.
- Ability to interpret tax laws and apply them to client situations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office applications.
