Hacker Dermatology, a highly respected and rapidly growing medical and cosmetic dermatology practice, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. We are known for exceptional patient care, a supportive work environment, and innovative treatment offerings. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and eager to grow within dermatology.
Key Responsibilities- Room patients and prepare them for evaluation
- Assist the physician and PA in medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures
- Accurately document patient history, medications, and chief complaints in the EHR (AdvancedMD experience a plus)
- Prepare instruments, treatment rooms, and procedure trays
- Perform clinical tasks such as scribing, handling specimens, and assisting with biopsies and excisions
- Provide patient education and post-care instructions
- Manage prior authorizations, pharmacy communications, and lab coordination
- Support front-office operations as needed, including scheduling and patient flow
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
- Prior dermatology experience is highly valued but not required
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
