The Central Sterile Supply Aide Performs technical and non-technical functions relating to the processing and distribution of supplies, equipment and instructions.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of care and handling of: IV Pumps, Hypothermia Units, PCA Pumps, Goneo Suction, Feeding Pumps, Blood Warmers and Bronchoscopes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of: Loading Carts, Chemical Spills and Sharps Precautions.
- Through understanding of equipment operation and maintenance of: Steam Sterilizer, Sterrad NX, Sterrad 100, Washer Dissinjector and Cycles times, temperature, pressure aborting a cycle.
- Established computer skills.
- Ability to accept responsibility for own knowledge and performance.
- Organized, detail oriented and effective time management skills.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply processing/distribution, and knowledge of surgical instruments and supply management.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Has and maintains current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) registration.
