Responsibilties
The Intern, Foundation Events handles tasks as assigned in various areas of the organization. This position provides support in a network function as needed and gains on the job experience.
- Assists department team members with daily operations as assigned. Assignments will vary in nature depending on the department the College Intern is placed.
- Works on various projects as needed while gaining working knowledge of the organization and its functions: Learn Cvent - help set up event websites, schedule event emails, process payments, pull attendee lists, etc. In Office - prep for events, print briefings and attendee lists, print nametags and table tents, meeting agendas, signage review, arrange catering and production as necessary. Onsite at events - help set up, register attendees on site, sell raffles, work with event production, signage set up. Gala specific - review attendee lists and work with research/principal gifts, help with seating charts.
- Depending on the assigned area, may participate in team meetings, interact with patients and staff and conduct research on healthcare trends.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Knowledge of social media websites and being able to navigate postings.
- Detailed oriented and organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
- College experience.
