The Faculty Liaison will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Medical Education (OME), specifically devoted to supporting the administrative onboarding and recruitment efforts being made at the School of Medicine (SOM). This role will assist the coordinators and faculty within the OME to identify, support and navigate the faculty appointment process within the office. Assist the coordinators with status questions, liaising with OOF and the faculty as well as work on recruiting new faculty to teach across the OME. The Faculty liaison/coordinator will work with OME leadership, including the Senior Director of OME, PPPC, HD and CS Directors, along with Director of Instructional and Curricular Design, to provide resources and assistance as necessary in their recruitment and onboarding of teaching faculty. In addition, this individual will be the primary liaison between OME and the Office of Faculty (OOF).
**This is a Hybrid - 3 days in person in Nutley, days are flexible.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Associate's degree in Education, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field
- Minimum of 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in relevant areas such as operations and/or faculty affairs.
- Demonstrated flexibility in establishing new programs from the ground up or other endeavor requiring adaptability.
- Proficient with database management software and creating reports.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational and planning, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Vision oriented self-starter with a big picture growth mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Medical Education Experience
