The Respiratory Equipment Technician maintains, cleans and assembles equipment at their assigned Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) hospital. Orders supplies, manages the cylinder inventory and services the central gas system.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- One year experience as a Respiratory Therapy Equipment Technician.
- Experience with high pressure oxygen cylinders and electrical devices.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification.
- Regular contact with medical personnel and its visitors.
- Lifts a minimum of 10 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hour a day.
