Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer. In this role, you will perform systems engineering tasks supporting sustainment of various software and hardware systems. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with hardware engineers,
define requirements, and test plans.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test
- Develop system level requirements ensuring consistency and traceability back to customer objectives
- Participate in Agile development teams and attend weekly status meetings
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co‑ops, senior design projects, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes (requirements capture, traceability, V&V).
- Understanding of configuration management concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
Desired Skills
- Introductory proficiency with Model Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, DOORS).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and the application of Agile principles within a systems engineering framework.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
