As a Quality Control Inspector You Will
- Conduct inspections at various stages of production to ensure compliance with design, customer specifications, and industry standards.
- Utilize precision measuring tools and instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure product conformity.
- Identify and communicate non-conformances, deviations, and quality issues to machine shop supervisor, engineers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Document inspection results, maintain accurate quality records, and prepare reports.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
- Collaborate with team members to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to machine shop operators on quality-related matters, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct non-destructive examination (NDE) testing on materials and products using methods such as visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing, radiography, etc.
- Interpret and evaluate NDE test results, report any defects or issues to management and production teams.

Required Education, Experience & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalency (G.E.D.)
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is a must.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- 2 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of and prior experience with Fisher products, manufacturing processes and organization preferred.
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is a plus.
- Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.
